Hey Vivek!

Awesome man, to have you commenting here! Great ops as always which really makes me scratch my head for a re-view LOL

But try as hard as I might, just can't pardon GF2 for its length. On retrospect though, for sure there's less glorification of crime and gangs than in GF1. So thanks for pointing that out. Its just this genre that I am so over and done with, that everytime I review a movie, I tend to dislike it more than it deserves LOL

Will not rent Ocean's Twelve out for sure :)

Right now, am in some kind of Latin-language trance thanks to the anatomy exam I had in the morning. But by evening hopefully the fever would have waned and I'll be posting regularly. Have seen some really pathetic Hollywood and Bollywood films last week (films are the only quick respite from the information-bingeing in medicine).

Keep reading and commenting bro!

Cheers!

So you on a movie-watching spree, eh? And all the while being apologetic about being busy!

As mutually understood, our tastes are polls apart too often. Of the 10 mentioned I have been fairly lucky of having watched at least 4 :-)

1) GodFather 2 - I have to differ totally with your assessment here. I felt it was a worthy sequel.

For all the charges of glorifying crime and Mafia, GF2 ends with Michael Corleone sitting isolated as a loner on a bench, having lost his own family in the process of managing the Family. Compare this with the scene of triumphant Michael, at the end of GF, taking over as the new Don; after finishing off all rivals brutally.

GF2 provides a stark Contrast of Michael's failure against his father Vito's success in building the Family without compromising on his (the parallel track). I guess the message has to be loud, in-your-face to be not lost on viewers :-).

Warning : Don't venture anywhere near GF3. It's a total disaster!

2) Underworld - I wouldn't count it as one of my top 10 movies. But it was enjoyable. Despite all shortcomings, have to give it that! Dunno if it was the British actors or the Kate "Leather tight-body-suit" Beckinsale factor.

3)Ocean's Eleven - Leaving aside the 'emotional' angle - inconsequential to a thriller IMNSHO -, it was one of the best-planned-heist movies; with each character in (mostly) ensemble cast fitting a particular piece of the jigsaw-puzzle.

Warning : Ocean's Twelve is one of the worst sequels ever filmed.

4) Polar Express - A total disaster. Have to agree with you here.

Awaiting the next batch,
Vivek

Suyog dude, thanx a lot for the comment!

All or Nothing and Descent are British films and knowing your liking for the British accent, I am not sure how much you'll take to them. Still give 'em a try LOL

Cheers!
